Katy is a San Antonio native, former public school teacher, and attorney who has spent her career representing kids in the foster care system. She knows that climate change is hurting the farms of the Rio Grande Valley. She showed her values by showing up to protest Trump’s bulldozers in Big Bend National Park.
Katy’s opponent, Brandon Herrera, a MAGA “gunfluencer” who makes his living as “The AK Guy” saying outlandish things. He’s an internet troll with a Congressional seat within his grasp.
