James Talarico is an 8th-generation Texan who's served in the state legislature since 2018 – and he's never taken corporate PAC money.
He’s excited Democrats (and even some Republicans) across Texas by calling out corruption. And he’s running against the most corrupt Republican in Texas.
Republicans chose corrupt Attorney General Ken Paxton as their nominee. Paxton was impeached on bribery charges, and separately indicted for securities fraud. He owns seven houses (bribery seems to pay well!) but has no rental income.
Polls taken over the summer show Talarico with a small but consistent lead over Paxton. And, if he wins, Talarico could provide the critical vote to control the chamber and stop Trump’s agenda. Ted Cruz’ sad face is just the cherry on top
Climate Hawks Vote is endorsing seven candidates in toss-up and lean Republican seats. Texas is the biggest prize of all. Chip in here to help us win it.
