Climate Hawks for Susheela Jayapal

Climate Hawks Vote is proud to endorse Susheela Jayapal in Oregon’s Third District to succeed longstanding climate hawk Rep. Earl Blumenauer.

Susheela is a former Multnomah County Commissioner who voted to sue Exxon and other big polluters. And she's worked to phase out gas in new building construction. She opposes the Zenith oil terminal, and has also signed the No Fossil Fuel Money pledge. In short, she’s a climate hawk. 

If her last name is familiar, she’s the sister to Pramila Jayapal, chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and another Congressional climate hawk. Susheela's other endorsements include Ro Khanna, and Mark Pocan, Senator Bernie Sanders, and the Sierra Club. Equally important, in our survey of grassroots climate hawks in the district, the vote was nearly unanimous for Susheela.
