Charles Allen is the leading environmental champion on the DC Council. He’s been an effective and dedicated Ward 6 Councilmember and was re-elected in 2022 after running unopposed.
The recall effort is led by people with ties to the fossil fuel industry, Republicans in Congress, and disgraced former president Donald Trump. The Sierra Club is helping to fight the misleading recall effort to ensure the environmental community continues to be well-represented on the DC Council.
Charles Allen proudly ran as a Fair Elections candidate in 2022, but public financing is not available in a recall, so the maximum donation limit is $500 for an individual instead of $50. He is not taking corporate contributions.
