The Sierra Club endorses At Large Councilmember Christina Henderson for reelection.
As the chair of the DC Council Health Committee, Councilmember Henderson understands that tackling environmental harms in DC is key to improving public health and reducing health disparities.
Christina Henderson is a steadfast supporter of transitioning off fossil fuels, starting with DC’s low- and moderate-income families. She’s working to resist proposals to waste billions of dollars on fossil fuel infrastructure, to reduce plastic pollution across DC, to finally provide Metro with a sustainable funding source, and to oppose a new football stadium on the banks of the Anacostia River.
