Close the Gap California is a campaign to increase the number of progressive women serving in the California Legislature by recruiting viable, progressive women to run for open seats in targeted, winnable districts.
The campaign recruits accomplished women who are pro-choice, pro-public school funding and support paths out of poverty.
By partnering with CA progressive organizations, Close the Gap aims to achieve gender parity in the CA legislature by 2028.

Contribution rules
- I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
- This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
- I am at least eighteen years old.
Federal tax law requires us to publicly report cumulative contributions of $200 or more. We may not deposit your contribution without your name, occupation and employer, and may not accept contributions of $100 or more made in cash. Contributions to close the gap CA are not tax deductible. Close the Gap CA is a registered 527 organization. Close the Gap CA is not a political action committee and does not make campaign expenditures or contributions to candidates.
