Rep. Jason Crow is one of the stars of the 2018 freshman class in the House of Representatives. He served as a House impeachment manager in the trial of President Donald Trump, and serves as Vice-Chair of the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force and the National Security Task Force.
He is a former U.S. Army Ranger, volunteering after the 9/11 attacks, and served three combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his actions as a platoon leader.
When Crow returned to civilian life, he continued his fight for veterans. He chaired the committee that led the charge to bring the Denver Veterans Medical Center to Aurora and mentored veterans transitioning from military to civilian life.
Crow earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his JD from the University of Denver College of Law.
In 2017, he took on long-term Republican incumbent Mike Coffman who had survived many previous competitive election challenges. Crow won, defeating Coffman 54-46%. The district is still a swing district, with forty percent of the voters registered as unaffiliated with either party. Crow has worked hard in his first term, and is favored for re-election. He will need to continue to work hard and run a strong campaign to win in November.
Rep. Crow currently serves on the House Armed Services Committee where he serves as Vice Chairman of the Intelligence and Emerging Threats and Capabilities Subcommittee. Last year, he voted right on all of the key amendments supported by Council for a Livable World.
