Donate to Council for a Livable World and Dan Feehan's House campaign

Dan Feehan is running for Congress from Minnesota’s rural first district. He lost in 2018 by only 1,315 votes to Jim Hagedorn (R), despite having $6.9 million in dark money spent against him.

Feehan holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Politics from Georgetown University and a master’s degree from the Harvard Kennedy School.

From 2005 through 2009, he served in the U.S. Army and completed two combat tours as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, earning the Bronze Star, the Army Commendation Medal with Valor, and the U.S. Army Ranger Tab.

After graduate school, he served as the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (Readiness) in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Personnel and Readiness).

Since the last election, Feehan has worked for the Minnesota Farmers Union.

Hagedorn, meanwhile, has supported President Trump’s nuclear weapons policies and has said he would “roll out the red carpet” if Trump visited the state again. Feehan opposes Trump’s dangerous nuclear policies and will be a credible voice for progressive national security.
