Council for a Livable World

Donate to Greg Landsman's campaign and Council for a Livable World

A former public-school teacher and education non-profit leader, Greg Landsman is in his fifth year on the Cincinnati City Council. He is taking on Rep. Steve Chabot (R) who has held Ohio's 1st Congressional District for all but two of the past 28 years.

Redistricting made the district much more favorable for Landsman by including the entire City of Cincinnati for the first time within the new borders. This shifted the district from Trump +3 to Biden +8. It is one of the few districts in the country where Democrats are in a good position to seize a Republican seat. Political analysts agree that this is a toss-up race.

Landsman opposes new kinds of nuclear weapons and agrees that it is time to reevaluate national security priorities to face 21st-century threats and to make smart, effective reductions in spending. Rather than ramp up military operations against China, he advocates strengthening diplomatic relations between the two countries.
