Eric Lynn is running in Florida's 13th congressional district, which is in Pinellas County and includes St. Petersburg, Largo and Clearwater, a seat currently being vacated by incumbent Rep. Charlie Crist (D) who is running for Governor.

Lynn, a national security expert with degrees in international relations and law, has worked in Congress, as senior advisor to three Secretaries of Defense and helped shape candidate President Barack Obama’s national security platform. His focus included working on the Obama administration’s Middle East Peace Mission.

Locally, he serves on the Early Learning Coalition Board of Pinellas County and was appointed to the International Relations Committee of the City of St. Petersburg. An advocate for veterans, he helps veterans and their families with housing issues in his free time and is a Board Member of the Federation of Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Lynn’s philosophy on nuclear weapons issues is distilled nicely here: “As the world's economic and military leader, we have an obligation to lead on non-proliferation and practice what we are preaching to other countries to slow and end the nuclear arms race, while still defending our national security.”
