Susan Wild has many firsts to her name, including the first woman to be appointed as Allentown City Solicitor and the first woman to represent Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District. She has been elected two times in this Lehigh Valley district that includes Allentown and Bethlehem.

Wild faces a toss up race this year. She once again faces her 2020 opponent, whom she defeated by a narrow 52% of the vote. Since then, Pennsylvania redistricting has added deep red areas to the district, shifting the partisan makeup from Biden +5 to close to even.

Wild currently serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, House Education and Labor Committee, House Science, Space, and Technology Committee, and the House Ethics Committee.

On Foreign Affairs, she has emphasized diplomacy over wars and stood up for human rights around the world. Wild favors rejoining the Iran nuclear agreement while negotiating further limits on Iran’s nuclear programs. She has also been a champion for legislation to end sexual violence against girls globally.

Wild is committed to strengthening and expanding non-proliferation agreements and turning back the dangerous expansion of nuclear arsenals. She supports the ultimate objective of reaching, in former President Obama’s words, "the peace and security of a world without nuclear weapons."
