ColorOfChange facing right-wing smear campaign!

The Wall Street Journal just launched a smear campaign against our community. Leaking an excerpt from an editorial board member’s book due to be released tomorrow that drags our community and our work through the mud.

They call us “corporate blackmailers” for standing up to the corporations that funded the Stand Your Ground laws that allowed George Zimmerman to get away with killing Trayvon Martin.

The WSJ’s attack calls our fight to hold corporations, media and the government accountable for the harm they cause to Black people “speech intimidation.” But holding companies accountable for harming Black people is not a violation of free speech, it is the opposite, it is the exercise of our free speech and right to protest. The WSJ and the right-wing think corporations should be allowed to do whatever they want to Black communities without consequences. But as long as we have the support of members like you, we will not back down.
