Creating CoKiyovu

Help Build CoKiyovu: A Transformational Space for Women’s Leadership & Community in Kigali

"The size of your dreams must always exceed your current capacity to achieve them. If your dreams do not scare you, they are not big enough."

Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, former President of Liberia

This is a big dream. And yes, it's a little scary. But with your help, we can make it real.

Over the past ten years, CoKiyovu in Kigali has become a hub for connection, creativity, and impact. Now, we can purchase this space and transform it into CoKiyovu. Women's leadership, history, health & well-being, economic opportunity, tourism, and sustainable development come together in this first-of-its-kind Women's center. There isn't anything like this in the world, and we want Co-Kiyovu to serve as a model to inspire similar centers globally.

Why Now?

This is a rare opportunity to secure this space for generations to come.

The property has been our home for 10 years, and this is our chance to make it permanent.

While rooted in Rwanda, CoKiyovu is designed to be an international destination—a regional hub that will draw women from across Africa and worldwide. At a time when gender-focused initiatives face increasing pushback globally, CoKiyovu will stand as a beacon for addressing women's continued underrepresentation in public life, inspiring others to follow this lead.
