Knoxville Night Out with Senator Charlane Oliver, State Senate Candidate Domonica Bryan, and Knox County Commissioner-Elect Damon Rawls

State Senator Charlane Oliver represents the 19th Senatorial District in Nashville, but she has deep roots from Knoxville. A 2008 master's level graduate of the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, Senator Oliver gained her love for community and passion for service crisscrossing East Tennessee by enrolling children and pregnant women into the CoverKids health insurance program. She later served as the Director of Amachi Knoxville at the Knoxville Leadership Foundation, ensuring that children with an incarcerated parent had loving adult mentors who stood in the gap to break the cycle of incarceration. She is a founding charter member of the Knoxville Area Urban League Young Professionals - having won Rookie Chapter of the Year under her leadership as Vice President - and was an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Alpha Pi Omega chapter, Junior League of Knoxville, the MLK Commemorative Commission, and Governor Bredesen's L.I.F.T. Mentor Program. She currently serves as co-chair for Rep. Gloria Johnson's U.S. Senate campaign against Marsha Blackburn.

Domonica Bryan has been a dedicated advocate for the people of Knoxville, spending over 16 years working with the Department of Child Services to protect and support children across East Tennessee. Her career has been defined by a deep commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the most vulnerable, and she is ready to bring that same dedication to the Tennessee Legislature as a candidate for Senate District 6. Domonica’s extensive experience has equipped her with the skills and insight needed to craft legislation that truly reflects the needs of her constituents. She is a problem solver with a proven track record of navigating complex challenges and delivering results. Domonica is eager to continue her work, advocating for policies that prioritize safety, education, and opportunity for all in Knoxville and beyond.
