COLAGE

Support Our End of Year Campaign to Sustain Family Weekends

This fall, with a full time staff of three, we put on our first Family Weekend beginning with a kickback in Atlanta. It cost COLAGE $27,300 to put on the event in addition to Forward Together's contributions. Next year we plan to make it even better! In order for us to sustain this event and grow Family Weekends we need to expand our staff capacity.

Atlanta is just one of many places we plan to offer annual programming. With adequate funding we’d love to bring a Family Weekend near you. We are in early conversations with community partners about establishing Family Weekends across the country beginning in the Bay Area with Our Family Coalition, Philadelphia with Philly Family Pride, DC with Rainbow Families, Orlando with Come Out with Pride, and Oklahoma City with Diversity Center of Oklahoma. As a staff of three maintaining year round programming and advocacy, we have limited capacity. In order to do this we’ll need to hire a Program Manager which will cost $60,000 in addition to the event. In the coming years as Family Weekends grow, we will need additional funding until they become as self-sustaining as Family Week. Your financial support will help us get there.

When everyone gives their heart, time and resources to our organization, we sustain and grow not only the mission but the community of our organization.

  • Recurring donations free us up to seek additional funding sources to expand our programs and organizational capacity.
  • If you have the ability to make an additional donation, most of our donors give at one or more of our primary fundraising times which include Give Out Day in June, Family Week in July, and End of Year Giving which sustains our year-round programs and operations.
  • Double your impact by asking if your employer will match your gift.

With Gratitude from the COLAGE team!
