Family Week is a one-week once-a-year opportunity that brings together youth growing up with LGBTQ+ parents to foster belonging, safety, and connection. For many children and young adults with LGBTQ+ parents or caregivers, Family Week is a rare opportunity to be surrounded by families like their own—where they don’t have to explain themselves or wonder if they fit in.
For over 30 years, COLAGE has co-hosted Family Week in Provincetown, MA—the largest gathering of LGBTQ+ families in the world. From July 26–31, 2026, COLAGE will provide affirming, youth-centered programming for 150+ young people ages 5–18, within a community of nearly 2,000 attendees.
Your donation helps to connect young people with peers who share similar family experiences in small groups with facilitators who’ve grown up in LGBTQ+ families; foster creativity through workshops and play; and build confidence and skills in young leaders.
Your gift supports stipends for youth facilitators, space and materials, and accessible small-group programming that ensures every child has the opportunity to participate.

Your donation makes it possible for kids like these to meet friends who have families similar to their own.

There are an estimated six million COLAGErs nationwide—children of at least one LGBTQ+ parent or caregiver. Too many grow up without spaces that reflect their families, affirm their identities, and honor their stories.
For over 35 years, COLAGE has been a national leader in the LGBTQ+ family movement by uniting and empowering people with LGBTQ+ parents or caregivers. When you support COLAGE’s Family Week programming, you’re not just funding activities—you’re investing in safety, belonging, connection, and resilience, ensuring future leaders know their families matter.
