I am running for the Polk County Board of Commissioners and I am asking for your help.

 

We live in a wonderful corner of the world. The terrain is beautiful, our water is clean and abundant, we have access to excellent HealthCare and the best schools (consistently in the top 10) in the state.

 

North Carolina is among the five fastest growing states in the country, and pressures are mounting. But with planning, and forethought we can preserve the best parts of our county.

 

The Polk County issues I am committed to are simple and direct:

·      Maintain our wonderful, rural lifestyle.

·      Any growth must be sustainable, and locally planned.

·      Transparent government where discussion and public input precede decisions.

All this we will accomplish with civility and grace, even when we do not agree.

 

I ask for your support in November at the ballot box and now financially. Funds are needed for signs, literature and ads. Any contribution, no matter how small, will be gratefully appreciated.
