Hi my name is Zayda Ortiz. I've called Malden my home for over 2 decades. I’m running for State Representative because I have a proven record of getting things done for our neighbors and I want to take my commitment to our community to the statehouse. I have spent years working with others across the district to ensure all of us have what we need to thrive, and move ahead to a prosperous and resilient future.

I have a proven track record of building coalitions locally, statewide and nationally with my work at Progressive Massachusetts, Jobs with Justice, and Indivisible.

I have a deep understanding of both the needs of our district and the ways in which the role of State representative can make the structural changes we need for us all to succeed. I'm proud that I have been recognized for my political work on the Fair Share Amendment and Driving families forward campaigns by being named Democrat of the year by the Malden City Democratic committee this past year. 

I am taking the lessons I've learned and my ‘Ganas’ to take the next step in my journey-running for office. Your generous donation will help ensure we can run an effective campaign with the tools and the people power we need to reach as many voters as possible.
