Help Flip California House Seats

The road to a Democratic House majority goes through California, where five Republicans hold seats in districts that Joe Biden won in 2020. All are highly vulnerable to defeat in 2024. But Democratic wins in these districts will require strong voter turnout and effective messaging. To help flip three of the winnable seats— CA-13, CA-22, and CA 41 — People’s House recommends that donors support Communities for a New California Action Fund.

CNC is a grassroots organizing group that works to “educate and motivate voters who have historically been left out of policy decisions impacting our schools, neighborhoods and their families.” It has a strong record of engaging and turning out voters, especially in Latino communities, where CNC’s staff and volunteers have strong ties.

This recommendation was developed by People’s House, which helps donors support effective electoral groups that are working to engage voters and elect Democrats in competitive congressional districts. It is a project of Blue Tent, an independent research site that makes recommendations for how Democratic and progressive donors can give with maximum impact to win elections and advance change.
