The Astoria Worker Project (AWP) is a new neighborhood-based center that is partnering with unions, community organizations, and immigrant service providers to build worker power.
Through both organized educational programming and community events, it will bring neighbors across Queens together in a physical space where workers can interact with one another, build solidarity, and take action to promote a worker-centric economy.
