Dear friends,
It's no secret that politics has been my passion for many years. Perhaps it started when I was nine years old, my sisters and I asked to set up a lemonade stand. My parents agreed, added popcorn to our "menu," and attached one condition: every dollar we earned would go to a cause. They suggested establishing a new fund to build a Kennedy Library in Boston. Forty years later, when I had the opportunity to visit that library, it was a full-circle moment for me.
That experience taught me the importance of civic responsibility, a lesson I’ve carried with me ever since. Attending college, living, and working in Carroll County for most of my life allowed me to establish a record of service to this community that brings me joy.
Until recently, that was enough. We are now living in extraordinary times, and I’m called to a higher level of civic responsibility. I’m humbled and excited to announce my decision to run for the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 42C. This leap into candidacy is a big one, and I’m prepared for my skills to be tested to their fullest. The confident and heartfelt responses from neighbors and friends confirm that I must run this race.
Running for Delegate is far from a solo event, and I need your help. If you want to learn more about me and my pledge to reward voters by doing the work needed in these extraordinary times, please join my campaign kickoff:
