South Asian Democrats of Colorado is an initiative of the Colorado Democratic Party. Any person who is registered as a Democrat in Colorado is eligible for membership in COSAD. As a member, you will be involved in taking the organization towards COSAD’s mission of building a politically engaged and empowered South Asian community.
Members:
- Are invited to monthly meetings that include party officials, legislators, elected officials, advocacy groups and community leaders.
- Receive regular updates on developments in the Colorado Democratic Party, South Asian Democrats initiative along with important developments pertinent to our communities.
- Vote on initiative's elections, position on ballot measures and operations.
- Advise and engage in initiative's work to engage our communities in the Democratic process by participating the CDP committees, caucuses, assemblies, primaries and elections at all levels of the government.
- Contest for officer and board of director positions of the South Asian Democrats Initiative biannual elections.
- Participate in Community events for outreach or to help in need like our COVID Vaccination drive in the spring 2021 with the City of Aurora.
- Engage in discussions on our social media pages.
An annual COSAD membership is $25, with a student discount of $15.
