Social Security Works

These five candidates are all in races that could go either way.

Goal thermometer

Jon “Bowzer” Bauman, Social Security Works PAC President, has been traveling the country, supporting future Social Security champions. In his travels, Jon has met five candidates in tight races who should DEFINITELY be in Congress.

Please donate as generously as you can today to help turn these five seats blue on Election Day and send new Social Security champions to Congress!

Tom Malinowski is running in NJ-7 against Leonard Lance, an incumbent who has been in office for a decade, and recently supported raising the Social Security retirement age in a debate. Malinowski is a Rhodes Scholar who was Assistant Secretary of State under John Kerry. He is running strongly on issues that will motivate the seniors who live in his district, who will be the tipping point, but needs a boost to make sure he can get them all to turn out.

Elaine Luria is a 20-year Navy veteran who retired as a Commander, running in VA-2, which includes Norfolk. Retirement security issues are critical to this district which is heavy on retired military. Her opponent, Scott Taylor, is a first-term incumbent, but has distinguished himself with a zero rating from the Alliance for Retired Americans.

Alyse Galvin is running for Alaska's At Large congressional district against Don Young, who has held the seat since 1974. Alyse is perfect on senior issues, and Don Young has spent the Trump era attempting to dismantle Medicare and Medicaid. This is a race we can win.

Liz Watson is running in Indiana's 9th district, which includes Bloomington and parts of Suburban Indianapolis. She's a whip-smart labor attorney and her father's Medicare story was recently featured in a video from Bernie Sanders.

Antonio Delgado is running in NY-19, just outside Albany. He is another Rhodes Scholar who is under attack in a slew of racist dark money ads, while incumbent John Faso refuses to debate him. Bowzer says "spend literally 30 seconds with Antonio & you'll understand why. I don' think I've ever seen such command of the issues from a first-time candidate."
