Support Vulnerable Communities Impacted by COVID-19

100% of your gift will go toward these organizations who have been strong partners with Sierra Club volunteer leaders and organizers in our fight for healthy and just communities, and are on the ground providing essential support to those who need it most in this global crisis.

  • City Harvest rescues and delivers food across New York City and are stepping up in this unprecedented moment to meet the needs of children who have lost access to school meals and families facing greater challenges affording food.
  • Farmworkers Association of Florida has been working for 35+ years to organize for social and environmental justice with farmworkers. Pre-existing conditions, no sick leave, and lack of health insurance have put farmworkers at increased coronavirus risk.
  • The Harambee House works to build the capacity of communities of color to create and sustain safe, economically vibrant, healthy neighborhoods that promote healthy living, wellness, environmental justice and green sustainability, and are supporting and organizing communities in the southeast during this crisis.

  • Oakland Public Education Fund is working to ensure all students, particularly those most vulnerable, continue to have access to healthy food and engage in meaningful at-home and online learning while schools are closed due to the crisis.

  • Seattle Foundation works at the intersection of the heart and science of philanthropy. They are rapidly deploying resources to community-based organizations providing workers and families impacted by COVID-19 with financial support, healthcare, and childcare.

  • Social Justice Fund Northwest works to strengthen grassroots efforts for progressive, systemic social change across the Northwest. They are currently providing emergency grants to those mobilizing to respond to the COVID-19 crisis.
  • VAYLA New Orleans is an Asian American Pacific Islander non-profit working to denounce discrimination and support undocumented and non-citizen community members who do not have access to needed resources during this global health crisis.
