Crowdfunding La Plazita
Goal: Help us raise $50,000 by June 30, 2023
As La Colaborativa prepares to open our doors at the Chelsea Survival Center in July 2023, we are asking our donors to help us get to the finish line and put the finishing touches on our new space. One of those special spots will be La Plazita de La Colaborativa, designed to take our Latinx immigrant community back to the sights, smells and tastes of home.
MassDevelopment, a key funder for our Chelsea Survival Center, recently awarded us a $50,000 grant through Commonwealth Places to build out La Plazita. Now, in order to qualify for the full funding amount we need to raise an additional $50,000 match from our donor community. We need your help!
La Plazita will be an outdoor place to gather, connect, celebrate, and create community right in the heart of Chelsea. With easy access to all of the programs, services, and events at La Colaborativa, La Plazita is inspired by the plazas, mercados, and outdoor spaces that are such an important part of Latin communities. We will have covered picnic and domino tables, food vendors sharing their creations, cultural celebrations, live music, special events and more! We want our new Survival Center to be a gathering place that honors and celebrates this amazing community and our members!
