Wear Orange! Crystal's Wear Orange Fundraising Page

Wear Orange: National Gun Violence Awareness Day - June 2nd, 2017. Last year more than 500 influencers, corporations, non-profit partner organizations, elected officials, iconic landmarks and hundreds of thousands of Americans participated in the second annual National Gun Violence Awareness Day. Wear Orange was inspired by friends of Hadiya Pendleton, a 15-year-old Chicago high school student killed by gunfire, who decided to honor her life by wearing orange – the color hunters wear in the woods to protect themselves and others.

BeSMART: Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America has developed the BeSMART campaign to help parents and adults prevent child gun deaths and injuries. Each year, Moms volunteers hold hundreds of presentations across the country to educate parents on safe gun storage and how to help reduce unintentional child shootings.

The Everytown Survivor Network: The Everytown Survivor Network brings together Americans who have been personally affected by gun violence to work to reduce gun violence. The Survivor Network connects people who have been personally impacted by gun violence and empowers survivors to share their stories and take action to spare other families pain.  They also train survivors to become leaders in the gun violence prevention movement.

Survivor Engagement: Survivor Engagement Leads are the main point of contact for survivors of gun violence in their communities, and host regular in person meetings for survivors to be together, connect, and find peer-to-peer support.

Gun Sense University: Moms Demand Action has developed dozens of activist and organizing skills trainings that run year-round throughout the country.  Since its inception in 2015, Gun Sense University has trained hundreds of activists and survivors to increase their impact in working to reduce gun violence.

Everytown Research: The Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund improves our understanding of the causes of gun violence  - and the means to reduce it - by conducting groundbreaking original research, developing evidence based policies, and communicating this knowledge in the courts and the court of public opinion.
