The recently introduced Inflation Reduction Act would provide major, urgently needed investments in climate and health care, close tax loopholes that have been costing the government billions, and more. Although the timing of its passing remains uncertain, this is a very promising start.
We need more of this kind of action from Congress, and it’s thanks to our Democratic Senate Majority that we’re able to advocate for progressive legislation like this bill.
But if even one seat flips red in November, we’ll lose our advantage and Republicans will be the ones in control.
