Close the Gap California is a campaign to increase the number of progressive women serving in the California Legislature by recruiting viable, progressive women to run for open seats in targeted, winnable districts.


The opportunity ahead is unprecedented.

The 2022-2028 election cycles will yield a

minimum of 96 open seats. This is the golden opportunity we’ve been preparing for since our launch.

Contribution rules

  1. I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
  2. This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
  3. I am at least eighteen years old.
