Close the Gap CA

Close the gap CA's East Bay Literature, Leadership & Libations event with Ayelet Waldman and Irma Herrera

Join close the gap CA, author Ayelet Waldman and Irma Herrera on Thursday, May 31st, 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the Berkeley Mills Showroom to discuss how gender, power and culture collide and what that may mean in this year of extraordinary political opportunity for women.

Close the gap CA is a campaign to increase the number of progressive women serving in the CA Legislature by recruiting talented, viable women to run for open seats in targeted, winnable districts. The campaign recruits accomplished women who are pro-choice, pro-public school funding and who support paths out of poverty. By partnering with CA progressive organizations, close the gap CA aims to achieve gender parity in the CA legislature by 2028.
