Growing up, I spent my time pouring coffee and serving customers in my family’s diner. After fleeing poverty and political turmoil in Greece, my parents arrived in America with nothing but hope. They worked every job they could from washing dishes to sewing in factories until they could open that diner and buy a home. 


That’s the American Dream. And today, it’s slipping away for too many hardworking families. 


I’m Dean Dafis, proud son of immigrants, first LGBTQ+ representative in Maplewood, and I’m running for Congress in New Jersey’s 11th District.


Working people are being squeezed – while Donald Trump and his MAGA extremists give billionaires more tax breaks and defund our schools. 


I’m running to fight for working families, defend our freedoms, and keep NJ-11 blue. I hope you’ll chip in and join me as we defend NJ-11 and keep this seat blue for the Garden State.
