Stonewall Democrats of San Antonio

Support the Dan Graney Endorsement Forum Today!

The Stonewall Democrats of San Antonio (SDSA) is an official San Antonio based club of the Democratic Party. We fight every day for equality for all gender minorities and eagerly join forces with all those who support the cause of justice. SDSA began in February of 2000 at the Democratic Headquarters of Bexar County. Seven Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, Plus (LGBTQIA+) individuals, the majority of whom were Precinct Chairs, saw a need for our community to come together to be heard and represented in the Democratic Party.

In 2004, SDSA formed a general-purpose political action committee (PAC) to conduct endorsements of candidates, make campaign contributions and help elect fair-minded Democrats to public office. SDSA sponsors candidate forums for the purpose of inviting candidates to speak to SDSA members about where they stand on LGBTQIA+ issues prior to the members voting on endorsements.

In 2024 SDSA renamed their endorsement forum to “Dan Graney Endorsement Forum hosted by Stonewall Democrats of San Antonio”. This decision comes to honor one of Stonewall’s original founders, recognizing Dan Graney’s unwavering commitment to advocacy, political engagement, and his outstanding citizenship within the LGBTQIA+ community.

Our purposes: educate Democratic candidates and officeholders on issues of importance to the LGBTQIA+ community; foster the ideals of the Democratic Party through voter education in the LGBTQIA+ community; encourage LGBTQIA+ participation in all levels of the Democratic Party; screen, endorse and support the election of fair-minded Democratic candidates to public office

SDSA is now asking you to be part of this tradition by supporting the Dan Graney Endorsement Forum. Your donation will allow us to continue in this service to the LGBTQIA+ community. Please, donate today!
