San Francisco has never elected a Latinx individual to represent the City in the State Legislature. The City has never been represented by a leader who is formerly undocumented, gay, and Latino.
Now, with our communities still struggling to recover from COVID-19, it is time that those who have suffered the most are heard in Sacramento. That’s why David Campos is launching an exploratory campaign for State Assembly.
The powerful have had their say. But it is vital that the communities who have suffered the most from injustice and poverty are finally and fully heard.
This will be a corporate-free campaign. That means we won’t take a dime from fossil fuel companies, real estate developers, pharmaceutical companies, or anyone else who puts greed above the common good. And that is because this campaign will be dedicated to the simple principle that the powerful don’t need another voice and the poor can’t afford another timid politician.
