David Peters is a seasoned social worker and organizational leader with over 25 years of experience in child welfare, education, and mental health systems. He has a passion for empowering individuals institutions and communities to reach their full potential.
David is a lifelong resident of New Rochelle with a long history of public service, including:
- Trustee, New Rochelle Board of Education
- Board of Directors, WestCop/CAP and United Community Center of Westchester
- Leading roles in New Rochelle Youth-Police Initiative and My Brother's Keeper
- Founding member, New Rochelle Against Racism (New RoAR) and New Rochelle Alliance for Justice (NRAJ)
- Leading role in creating collaborative partnerships MBK, community policing, and opportunity youth court (YJET)
David holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Social Work from Yeshiva University.
