Contribution rules
- I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
- This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
- I am at least eighteen years old.
- I am not a federal contractor.
- I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
Contributions to David Trone for Congress are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes. Federal law prohibits the acceptance of corporate checks. Individuals and spouses may each contribute up to $2,900 to David Trone for Congress, Inc. per election – $2,900 for the Primary and $2,900 for the General. General and Primary elections are considered separate elections. Contributions received after the date of the primary election will automatically be designated towards the general election. All contributions must be from the contributor’s personal funds. David Trone for Congress, Inc. does not accept contributions from Political Action Committees (PACs) or lobbyists. Corporations and individuals are strictly prohibited from reimbursing another person for making a contribution to David Trone for Congress, Inc..
