David Sabry Guirgis is a social worker, organizer, and democratic socialist with lifelong roots in Jersey City. He has spent his entire career fighting for progressive change.


David has helped lead campaigns to tax the rich, end legacy college admissions, and fight for trans rights in Congress. And in Jersey City, he helped pass Right to Counsel and hold landlords accountable, keeping thousands of tenants in their homes.


Now, he’s running for Hudson County Commissioner in District 4 to:


  1. audit everything to end county corruption.
  2. deliver free community college for all;
  3. build social housing on county-owned land;
  4. provide universal childcare for every county resident
