Why I’m Running
My career has taken me around the world and across business, government, academia, and the nonprofit sector. But Vermont is home. My wife Anita and I chose to raise our family here, and we’ve built businesses and a life in the Northeast Kingdom.
Today, I’m a sugarmaker, entrepreneur, community leader, advocate, drummer, and proud St. Johnsbury resident. I love this place, and I’m running for State Senate because I want to put my experience to work for the people and communities of the Northeast Kingdom.
Our Caledonia District is made up of Barnet, Danville, Groton, Hardwick, Newbury, Peacham, Ryegate, St. Johnsbury, Stannard, Walden, Waterford, and Wheelock. I look forward to traveling through all 12 towns, meeting my neighbors, listening to your concerns, and learning what matters most to your families and communities.
A Different Kind of Campaign
I wrote my thesis on Campaign Finance Reform, and I intend to live by the rules I believe would bring some sanity back to our political process.
Unlike my opponent, I will not accept corporate contributions. This campaign will be funded by people who live here and people who care about what happens here in the Northeast Kingdom.
I’ve done the math: if we build this people-powered campaign from the outset, I’ll be able to spend the vast majority of my time traveling the district, listening to you, and talking about what really matters to our communities.
