As a parent and a community member I'm proud of the Cambridge Public Schools – but not satisfied.

We need someone on the School Committee who is in the thick of it as a Cambridge Public Schools parent and who has my on-the-ground classroom experience — a critical level of understanding when deciding and implementing policy. I am the only member of the School Committee who has been a full-time classroom teacher.

I bring these important perspectives together with communications expertise, and an understanding of education policy and of what is happening in the classrooms in our schools in Cambridge.

The Cambridge Public Schools can and should be a model of equity and excellence for the country. We do so much so well, and must do better. As a member of the school committee I have worked collaboratively with our teachers, administrators, fellow school committee members, city councilors, students and families to ensure that every child has the support they need to explore and achieve their fullest potential.
