As the sole provider of forensic nursing care for adult victims of sexual assault and domestic violence in the District of Columbia, DCFNE relies on support and generosity from donors in order to ensure that our 24/7/365 on-call response remains uninterrupted. Here's what your gift could do:
- $10 supports advertising and marketing to 700,000 DC Residents, so that they are aware of this important service
- $35 covers the cost of a Physical Evidence Recovery Kit (PERK) for a survivor of sexual assault
- $50 provides a survivor with round-trip transportation to and from their forensic exam
- $100 supports the annual cost of self-care and mental health programs for one DCFNE staff member, so we can always bring our best selves to each patient encounter
- $250 helps with the cost of high-tech equipment, ensuring that forensic nurses always have access to functional, up-to-date equipment to document exam findings and injuries
- $500 supports training and continuing education for a forensic nurse, so that DCFNE can continue to be leaders in the field
