The Deep Canvass Institute is a collaboration between People's Action Institute and the New Conversation Institute.
Your contribution will enable our deep canvass training programs to remain free-of-charge for thousands of organizers and activists across the country.
Deep canvassing is the only scientifically proven method to influence constituents by using empathy and understanding as the key to bridging the gap across differences. It has been used for a wide range of issues including transgender rights, immigration, and abortion access campaigns in urban, rural and suburban communities across the country.
The methodology of deep canvassing was developed by LGBTQ+ rights activists fighting for marriage equality who drew on the traditions and practices long-used in union organizing and the civil rights movement.
