This is Heather and the Donuts + Democracy team, with an urgent update regarding voting by mail.

The Supreme Court signaled it may allow Donald Trump's executive order attacking mail-in voting to go into effect in time for the midterms. And there's now a USPS whistleblower report warning that if Trump's order goes into effect, USPS's new "data portal" could result in millions of ballots not being counted.

Trump, Republicans, and the Supreme Court have made clear that they will do everything they can to interfere with voting by mail. 

They know that college students — the most progressive voting bloc in America and the most angry about Trump and Republicans' policies — will be particularly impacted. 45% voted by mail in the last election!

To stop this fascist power grab and help Democrats win the 2026 midterms, we need to make sure that young people know how to get a mail-in ballot, and where and when to drop it off. We need to ensure that they can overcome all of the roadblocks the Trump administration and Republican state legislatures have put in front of them.

We have a plan to do just this!
