Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration
Greetings from From The Hood For The Hood & The Dearborn & Dearborn Heights Juneteenth Celebration Committee. We have
fantastic plans and look forward to the Dearborn and Dearborn Heights Juneteenth celebrations.
It is with great pleasure that we offer your organization the opportunity to become a valuable
sponsor for these events. The 2022 celebrations will take place in both Dearborn AND Dearborn
Heights, Michigan. A new feature will include our first annual Juneteenth Gala event. The Gala
Event will be held at Henry Ford College on June 17th from 5:30p to 9:30p. The free Community
Festival will be held on June 19th from 1-4p in Dearborn Heights.
The Dearborn/Dearborn Heights Juneteenth Celebration commemorates the end of slavery in the
United States by celebrating the joys of liberation, educating the community about our heritage
and by fostering positive cultural interactions. During both events, the community and visitors
will experience a variety of educational opportunities, entertainment, and exposure to African
American owned vendors from across the state.
