
DeDreana Freeman has spent the last 20 years committed to the health, safety, and well-being of children and families. Over the eight years on the Durham City Council, she has been a bold and consistent advocate for justice that works every day to advance Social, Economic, and Environmental Equity. Her record reflects principled leadership, grounded in lived experience and a DEEP commitment to building a more inclusive future for North Carolina.
DeDreana holds a Master of Public Administration from North Carolina Central University and brings the perspective of a small business owner and a longtime community organizer. She is building a people-powered movements rooted in humanity, fairness, and shared responsibility.
