Delishia is a mother, educator, licensed minister, and battle-tested legislator, and is a lifelong Tennessean committed to public service. She began her career in public service when she won the Special Election for the Metro Council District election, and currently serves as the Chair of the Minority Caucus and the Vice Chair of the Public Health and Safety Committee.
Delishia has worked to pass Nashville’s most progressive budget, making Nashville teachers the highest paid in the State. She will not stop fighting until we create a future for our city where everyone benefits from our growth.
