Del. Marcia "Cia" Price represents the new 85th House District. This Session she got 20 important bills and resolutions passed that impact the lives of working families in education, gun violence prevention, housing justice, reproductive freedom, mental health, and more.
As Chair of the Privileges and Elections Committee, she worked to protect our elections system and democracy from attacks and rollbacks. As Chair of the Health Professions Subcommittee, she worked to help pass bills that would mean more equal access to affordable and quality care for all.
She has worked on important legislation including being the lead sponsor for the Virginia Right to Contraception Act (2024), Virginia Deaths in Custody Reporting Act (2024), the Voting Rights Act of Virginia (2021), and other legislation on student loan debt, eviction prevention, redistricting reform, mental health education, domestic terrorism, and equitable reproductive healthcare access.
She is the first out Black woman member of the LGBTQIA+ community to serve in the General Assembly's 400+ year history. Her voice is loud and proud in the fight for civil rights, equity, justice, and compassion. Please support her work and our fight for ALL Virginians!
