Supporting the Talent Powering Our Democracy

The Center for Democracy Professionals and Careers Impacting Democracy Elections, Advocacy, and Leadership (IDEAL) is a new program of Global GAIN.

Democracy Pros is dedicated to fostering careers in progressive democracy work. We aim to build a more robust, reflective democracy where women and people of color are recruited and trained to find opportunities to lead as changemakers in organizations that bring progressive electoral, government leadership and policy changes.

At Democracy Pros, we aim to:

  • Empower Talent: Equip individuals, particularly women and people of color, with the advice and support needed to excel in democracy-focused careers.
  • Support Organizations: Assist organizations in recruiting and retaining diverse talent through strategic HR and operational support.
  • Strengthen Democracy: Foster a robust ecosystem of skilled professionals committed to advancing democratic principles and practices globally.

Program Timeline Democracy Pros is organizing in advance of the 2024 elections with pilot projects and will officially launch in 2025 with a full range of initiatives.
