Outrage
Dear Friend,
Today, Republicans in the Senate sided with the NRA and voted against important gun legislation to make our communities safer and to keep guns out of the hands of suspected terrorists.
We should be outraged. How many innocent lives must be lost?
An overwhelming amount of Americans support common sense measures to protect us from deadly weapons including the assault weapon bans upheld earlier today by the Supreme Court. In fact, 92% of Americans favor background checks; 87% support prohibiting convicted felons or those with mental health problems from buying guns; and 85% of our fellow citizens support banning people on terror watch lists from buying guns.
The time for action is now!
Please join me in this fight by contributing $100, $50, $25 or even $5 dollars.
We cannot allow the NRA and special interests to control Congress. Please help us take back the Senate and the House.
