Summer Lee is a Pennsylvania state legislator and dedicated organizer, activist, and advocate for social justice. When she was first elected in 2018 Summer won with more than 60 percent of the vote in a race against a 20-year incumbent, becoming the first Black woman from Southwestern Pennsylvania to hold the office of State Representative, representing Pennsylvania’s 34th state House district.
Now, Summer is running for Congress in PA-18 to fight for her community’s chance to build a brighter future. In congress, you can expect Summer to continue to be a relentless advocate for sustainable jobs, environmental responsibility, ending fracking, police accountability, and gender and racial equity.
