During his time in the North Carolina State House, Garland Pierce has watched the state slowly erode our shared values like a strong public education, clean drinking water, and more. He is a retired UPS Driver and Senior Pastor of Bright Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Laurinburg, NC. 

Representative Pierce has fought for jobs for rural NC, broadband expansion, served as a primary sponsor for Medicaid expansion legislation, and fought for things like clean drinking water. He is proud to have fought hard for our shared values in a rural North Carolina. Representative Pierce comes from humble beginnings and is proud of all the work that he has accomplished in his time in the legislature.
