ADA Anniversary Disability Justice Workshop

Following the success of our 2019 event on South Asians and the Americans with Disabilities Act, Desis for Progress is hosting a workshop on disability justice in honor of the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act on Thursday, July 23rd from 6-7:30pm ET.


The workshop will be led by Noor Pervez & Dr. Sarmistha Talukdar, and will cover:

  • The difference between disability rights and disability justice;
  • The 10 principles of disability justice;
  • Physical, cognitive, and spatial accessibility needs when planning events and conferences; and
  • How to make their organization’s programming and/or their activism more accessible.


Registration fees will go towards compensating our facilitators & future DFP programming.
