Dimple Ajmera is a Working Mother, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Charlotte City Councilmember.
During her tenure on the City Council, Ajmera has been a fighter with a proven record. She chaired the Environment Committee to help Charlotte become a global leader in sustainability with bipartisan support.
Elected to her third term in 2022, Ajmera serves as Chair of the Budget, Governance, & Intergovernmental Relations
Committee. She oversaw a 3.3 billion dollar budget that enhances city services to address community needs without a tax increase – making critical investments in city employees, public safety, infrastructure, and affordable housing.
Ajmera also has a record of bold accomplishments on public safety, affordable housing, infrastructure and economic development.
As a mother, Ajmera knows how important a child’s environment is for their future success and is committed to ensuring safety and security for each child.
